The Great Migration

Across this vast plain, 1–2 million wildebeest undertake an annual migration of roughly 1,200 miles (2,000 km). By August, they reach the northern edge, where thousands attempt the perilous crossing of the Mara River in search of greener pastures - rocky banks and unstable footing will prove as deadly as the predators that lurk in the water and on the shore.
